1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?
Our newest single “Talk to Me Nice” is the perfect song to just vibe and chill out to. The calm melody combined with the lyricism embodies a natural confidence without coming off too cocky. The writing process behind this song was just reflecting on our past snd comparing it to the present and even the future. At one point in time we were really down bad and struggling, and although we aren’t exactly where we plan to be we are still grateful for the position we’re currently in and the many accomplishments and accolades to come. So as we continue to get better and thrive, talk to us nice.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
Being from Toronto or even parts of the GTA, people here kind of have a sense of what “Toronto” music sounds like. A lot of the times people will here a song and automatically know its a Toronto song. What makes our music unique is that we don’t possess that “Toronto song” song style or flow. We’ve heard that quite a lot from other people as well that we sound like we’re from the states. So our music is unique in the sense that we differ from the typical Toronto artist as the music we make is versatile and caters to multiple lifestyles and cultures rather than just one city. The music we make is also relatable for more than one group of people. The versatility in our music is what separates us from regular artists because we can cover different genres, flows, and topics.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
The best moment in our musical career that we are proud of would have to be dropping our first tape “Sincerely EDC”. We feel we gave our core fans a great body of work to listen to and satisfied there high expectations from us. A lot of our fans rely on us for there musical needs and with this body of work we gave timeless music that they can always go back and listen to. The feedback we received on this tape was better then we could have ever imagined
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
Balancing music with our other obligations can get tricky at times. We just feel that if you want to do something and you have the passion for it, there is always time in the week or day to do so. If that means we cant hang out with our friends or see our girlfriends, we expect them to be okay with that because they know how much we want to chase our dreams and make them a reality. We believe hard work pays off and are seeing proof in that with the feedback we receive single after single.
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
The biggest advice we have for aspiring musicians is, stay true to yourself. This meaning, do not try and make music you don’t want to create, do what you love to do and what your are good at doing. We believe there is a core fan base for every genre and type of music, you do not have to try and be someone you’re not to satisfy everybody out there. Be who you are meant to be and that will bring you success!
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
There are many things we would love to tell all our fans, but the most important would have to be, don’t go no where. We have tons of music in the vault and are trying to put all of it out the right way so everyone can listen to it and hear our story and what we have to say. Our fans have been really patient with us and for that we give them nothing but thanks and it makes us work 10 times harder than anyone else just because we love to satisfy our fans.
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
The list of what comes next is endless for us. In the near future continue to look out for new drops, new promos and visuals. We’ll also be hosting an event at the end of April and would love for all our fans to come out and show their support while we’re on stage. The amount of unreleased music we have continues to pile up, and at this rate we could even possibly drop a second tape or even a few EP’s. For now we hope to continue growing our fanbase and social media presence so we just ask everybody to stay tuned in to our tik tok and instagram accounts for new EDC content.
